About The Position

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is seeking a Tooling Technician in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a consumable tooling inventory system, managing tooling receiving and inspections, coordinating with vendors, and interpreting technical drawings. The technician will also generate purchase requests, administer tooling disposal, and collaborate with teams to forecast tooling demand. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous operational support is expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2+ years experience with support processes/inventory control. Proven relevant experience may be considered
  • Proficiency with MS Office & Oracle/related database software
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements while processing, masking, demasking, loading, unloading, inspecting, and packaging customer hardware and materials
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to visually inspect parts, materials, and process conditions to identify defects, damage, contamination, or other nonconforming conditions
  • Ability to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators, protective clothing, and other PPE as required by the task or work area
  • Must be either a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder) or otherwise classifiable as a U.S. person under relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a consumable tooling inventory system across multiple departments
  • Manage tooling receiving, incoming inspections, storage, organization, and inventory records
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely tooling procurement and delivery
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to support tooling requirements and operations
  • Generate and process purchase requests for tooling and related supplies across departments
  • Administer tooling disposal activities, including documentation, recordkeeping, and customer communications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast tooling demand based on customer schedules and production needs
  • Promote and maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous operational support
