Tooling Technician (Mold Maker - Days)
About The Position
Nemera is a leading global manufacturer of complex drug delivery systems for the pharmaceutical industry. This position supports and maintains all tooling and production with mold repair/maintenance operations. The role involves interacting with engineering, production, and tooling staff to troubleshoot and identify solutions for complex molding and mold problems in injection molding manufacturing. The technician will create work orders, maintain records, coordinate repairs, and ensure molds are production-ready. Training others on equipment in the Tool Repair department is also a responsibility. This is a 12-hour day shift position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of experience in mold making, mold design, and/or mold processes strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Microsoft Office and Engineering software computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, as well as standard work procedures.
- Interact with engineering, production, and tooling staff when troubleshooting molds.
- Identify solutions to complex molding and mold problems as they pertain to injection molding manufacturing.
- Create work orders for service of all molds and maintain records as required.
- Coordinate the implementation of solutions for needed repairs.
- Verify molds are production ready; advise production and engineering of condition of molds.
- Train others on operation of equipment in the Tool Repair department.
- Other duties as assigned.
