We are searching for the best talent for a Tooling Technician II in Jacksonville, FL. The Tooling Technician II maintains the Tooling Development area in compliance with ISO and GMP standards and supports Vistakon Safety and Quality initiatives. This role is responsible for meeting quality and productivity goals established by management, updating procedures, and monitoring equipment usability related to parts fabrication. The Tooling Technician II works as a team member on projects based on business needs and management direction and provides training to lower-level technicians. This role adheres to environmental policies and supports departmental objectives while meeting quality and productivity goals through Credo-based decision-making.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 24 months of experience in a tooling environment
• Minimum of 24 months of CNC programming experience
• Minimum of 24 months of diamond lathing experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate math skills
• General understanding of optical geometries and terminology

Responsibilities

• Perform Design & Tooling assignments in the manufacturing of specific components and parts for assigned projects (75%)
• Conduct regular safety inspections (15%)
• Maintain the Design & Tooling area in compliance with applicable standards and requirements (5%)
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management (5%)
