Tooling Technician 1 - Weekend Shift

About The Position

The tooling technician’s main role will be to perform maintenance on production tooling. This will include inspecting the diameter of bushings and replacing, if necessary, mold buffing/taping, mold repair (metal and composite), and replacing casters. Other tasks might include troubleshooting mechanical systems, creating specialty tooling, and fixing broken production equipment. Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions. Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties. The schedule for this position is Friday - Sunday, 5am - 5:30pm, with overtime as required. A 12% differential will be added to this position.

Requirements

  • Good dexterity
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and how they work
  • Mechanical Experience
  • Know how to use hand tools
  • Be able to read an engineering drawing
  • Basic computer skills
  • Be able to work independently with general supervision
  • Good attention to detail
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Three plus years relevant work experience required

  • Basic Welding skills (MIG)
