About The Position
A medical device manufacturer is hiring a Tooling Supervisor to drive excellence in its tooling function. You'll lead a team of 4 or more technicians, keeping extrusion tooling running smoothly and production on schedule. If you want ownership over how tooling gets built, maintained, and delivered on a fast-moving production floor, this is your next role.
Requirements
- Be able to do the job as described
- Comfortable interpreting sketches, blueprints, and shop drawings for others
- Able to make decisions and lead others in a fast-paced environment with some ambiguity
Nice To Haves
- Tool room or maintenance supervisory background a plus
- Medical device manufacturing experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Schedule and perform tool cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance for all extrusion tooling
- Manage work assignments and coach the team on standard work and best practices
- Troubleshoot, repair, and improve tooling to meet production and customer needs
- Identify and maintain critical spare parts inventory to prevent production disruptions
- Partner with operations and engineering to improve tooling processes
- Train tooling technicians and supervise attendance and teamwork for adequate coverage
