O&R - Tooling Specialist

About The Position

The Tooling Specialist oversees company assets and ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and fulfillment of projects based on daily needs. The role is largely self-directed and requires understanding and adherence to company policies, procedures, values, and safety requirements. It operates in a shop environment and involves working with company tooling, lifting fixtures, specialty job boxes, trailers, and other vehicles.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask and work well in a team.
Openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.
Self-starter with a drive for continuous improvement of business operations.
Willingness to assist other teams in meeting and overcoming company challenges.
Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Past warehouse tooling experience preferred.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Oversee upkeep of company tooling, lifting fixtures, and specialty job boxes.
Track calibration certificates for tooling and required pull/lift tests for company-owned fixtures.
Maintain and track job boxes specific to tasks; inventory them upon return from the field and restock as needed.
Function-test tooling equipment returned from the field.
Make or schedule repairs for broken equipment.
Create and implement a tool and equipment maintenance program.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop tool storage areas.
Track tooling assigned to trailers and other vehicles and enforce the related policy with crews.
Operate a forklift or telehandler; training and certification will be provided.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adhere to safety requirements in all work environments.
