About The Position

This position will assemble/disassemble molds following applicable work instructions and blueprints. The role involves performing overhauls (preventative maintenance), parts fitting, and shaping mold components in accordance with training guidelines. The technician will need to understand parts mating, position, and function, and measure dimensions using appropriate measuring devices. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, utilizing surface grinders, hand tools, and welding equipment. Quality assurance checks on fabricated tooling, maintaining a clean work area and equipment, and preparing required documentation (tooling work orders, quality inspection reports) are also key aspects of the role. Effective verbal and written communication with other departments regarding mold activities is essential. All job duties must be performed per OSHA guidelines, safety rules, and housekeeping requirements, ensuring other maintenance associates also adhere to these standards. Other duties may be assigned by the department manager.

Requirements

  • Two-year Machine Tool Technology degree/Maintenance degree.
  • 1-3 years of on-the-job experience with injection mold maintenance.
  • Must possess fine motor skills for handling delicate components.
  • Must be able to perform frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying.
  • Must possess excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to learn.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Prepare required documentation (i.e. tooling work orders, quality inspection reports, etc.).
  • Ensure proper verbal/written communication with other departments in regard to mold activities.
  • Perform all job duties per OSHA guidelines, safety rules, and housekeeping requirements and ensure other maintenance associates follow the proper guidelines, rules, and requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
