About The Position

Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) has an exciting opportunity on their team in Berkeley, MO, for a Tooling Mechanic - Large Structure Fabrication. Large structure fabrication and assembly is the primary responsibility of this position. Fabricate, maintain, modify, & install various forms of tooling, such as large and small engineering test fixtures, fabrication equipment, etc. in collaboration with engineering design teams. Utilize manual equipment to fabricate or modify various tooling components (Examples: Marvel saw, surface grinder, drill press, etc.). Other responsibilities to include: Blueprint Reading, Tooling Inspection, 3D Model Interrogation, Machining, Welding, Laser Tracking.

Requirements

1+ years’ experience in large structure fabrication, ironworking, or as a millwright
High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience ironworking or working in a structure or tool fabrication environment
Experience with safe heavy load lifting via forktrucks, mobile or overhead cranes
Certificate or Degree or Technical Trade School Certificate (Or appropriate apprenticeship completion)
Experience with Verisurf software
Experience using manual inspection and CPU driven equipment such Laser Trackers
