About The Position

The Tooling Maintenance Technician cleans, maintains, and prepares extrusion tooling to the standard required for production. The role includes inspecting, disassembling, maintaining, and reassembling tooling, as well as communicating wear or damage to the immediate supervisor. The technician also helps maintain a clean and safe work environment and operates a reach truck as needed. Additional duties include assisting supervisors and tooling maintenance personnel and performing other duties as assigned.

• GED, high school education, trade school education, or previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect extrusion tooling components according to VEKA policies and procedures.
• Disassemble extrusion tooling and ensure proper assembly.
• Perform maintenance on extrusion tooling as directed.
• Disassemble purged-in dies.
• Polish dies, templates, and calibration as needed.
• Communicate wear and damage to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Operate a reach truck as needed.
• Assist supervision and tooling maintenance personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
