About The Position

SpaceX is seeking a Tooling Engineer to own the manufacturing and development of tooling and equipment for welding Starship components. The engineer will help develop, build, and certify designs that optimize tooling for welding and inspection processes, supporting advanced welding and joining processes used in Starship/Super Heavy regulators, butterfly valves, flap/fin actuators, and other components. These components are designed for reliability in extreme environments, compatibility with various fluids, temperatures from 80 to 800K, and pressures beyond 800 bar. The role works daily with design, automation, welding, non-destructive evaluation (NDE), and test engineers to develop equipment and standardized practices for multiple welded assemblies. The position may be hired at Level 1 or Level 2. Applicants must meet applicable U.S. Government export-control requirements.
