Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Proven experience in jig and fixture design.
  • CNC machine tool experience.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems (NQA‑1, ISO‑TS, AS9001).
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract security requirements.
  • Ability to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize jigs and fixtures for machining, welding, assembly, and other critical production processes.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and ensure all tooling requirements are flawlessly executed.
  • Oversee tooling fabrication, assembly, and testing—from concept through implementation.
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation for all tooling packages.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in machining methods, fixturing strategies, tooling/coatings, coolant applications, material considerations, and Lean manufacturing practices.
  • Manage projects with ownership and accountability, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Support and uphold all company policies, safety standards, and security requirements.
