About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an experienced Tooling Design and Integration Engineer to join our team in Heath, OH. This position is expected to be fully onsite in Heath, OH. The role involves interpreting design requirements and developing tooling designs to meet assembly requirements. It also includes developing program and project requirements, creating complex equipment and tooling concepts, and designing solutions with alternatives for the Production System. The engineer will complete complex design drawings, manage configurations from design through fabrication, and hand over to assembly technicians. Responsibilities also include validating technical data analysis, influencing product engineering design, and making recommendations for robotics, automation, or technical solutions to support production system integration for aerospace products. The role supports the creation and modification of equipment and tooling definition at the program level, carries out project plans, provides input for make/buy decisions, and collaborates with procurement to meet program targets. Ensuring compliance with safety, design, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomics, and regulatory requirements is crucial. The engineer will perform gated reviews, develop plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares, and validate contractual performance milestones. Developing and implementing work-arounds, maintaining hardware and software configurations, and documentation are also key. Evaluating new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations, and supporting plan implementation through project management, planning, and scheduling are part of the role. Shop projects for integration will also be handled.

Requirements

  • This position requires the obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience.
  • CATIA experience.
  • Experience drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing ( GD&T ).
  • If not already within commuting distance of Heath, OH, willingness and ability to relocate at your own expense.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Responsibilities
