About The Position

The Tool Technician is responsible for receiving, inspecting, assembling, rebuilding, testing, packaging, and shipping equipment and component parts in accordance with established procedures, manufacturer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This position supports inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, equipment maintenance, and continuous operational efficiency within the Tool Facility.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • PIV operation experience
  • Ability to monitor equipment performance and identify issues requiring corrective action.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to coordinate work activities and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, tablets, and business systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work additional hours when necessary to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, repair, maintenance, logistics, shipping, receiving, or a related industrial environment.
  • PIV Operation experience/certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or education in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field.
  • Experience rebuilding mechanical equipment, hoisting equipment, or industrial tools.
  • Experience working within an ISO-certified environment.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, specifications, parts lists, and standard work instructions.
  • Assemble, disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and test equipment and components according to manufacturer requirements and company standards.
  • Position and fit parts and subassemblies using measurements, templates, gauges, and hand tools.
  • Verify completed work by inspecting and measuring components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Rebuild and test hoists, safety block stops, false cars, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and identify mechanical and basic electrical issues during inspection and testing activities.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition of equipment and materials.
  • Conduct inventory audits upon receipt of deliveries to identify discrepancies and support timely resolution of missing or damaged materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using company systems and documentation procedures.
  • Monitor supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to support operational requirements.
  • Pick, package, and prepare customer and internal orders for shipment.
  • Fulfill orders for safety cables, hoisting cables, wind cables, kits, and other products.
  • Inventory, repackage, and process approximately 5–6 G2S kits per day or as business needs require.
  • Repackage incoming equipment to ensure safe storage and consistent shipment preparation.
  • Package miscellaneous products and equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Complete required production, quality, inventory, testing, and shipping documentation accurately and timely.
  • Utilize company software, iPads, and ISO quality systems to record work activities and maintain documentation.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Conserve company resources through proper use and care of equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
