About The Position
This position is responsible for assisting with mold disassembly and assembly. Functions include moving molds, taking apart plates and components, cleaning parts, reassembling, pin changes, configuration changes, and performing preventative maintenance (PMs). Cleaning involves sandblasting, lubricating, and using solvents. The role also includes general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, trash removal, cleaning plastic from molds and equipment, and maintaining an orderly work area by keeping walkways and aisles clear. Employees may perform other duties based on skill and availability when work in their primary classification is not available.
Requirements
- 1-3 years’ work experience
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience in a Mechanical environment
- Self-Starter
Responsibilities
- Assist with mold disassembly and assembly
- Move molds, take apart plates and components
- Clean parts using sandblasting, lubrication, and solvents
- Perform pin changes and configuration changes
- Follow the preventative maintenance program, including disassembly and cleaning of parts/molds/components
- Protect cleaned parts from damage and store them correctly
- Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping and trash removal
- Clean plastic from molds and equipment
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear
- Perform other duties as assigned when primary work is not available
