About The Position

The Tool Room Technician will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, and fabricating tools to meet manufacturing needs. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and utilizing various tools and machinery. The technician will also be involved in preventive maintenance, quality assurance, safety compliance, problem-solving, and training junior staff.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a tool room or similar manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in tool fabrication, maintenance, and modification.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation.
Hands-on experience with power tools and machining processes.
Knowledge in inventory management and maintenance documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Maintain, modify, and fabricate tools to meet manufacturing needs.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for tool design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow and tool efficacy.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments in the tool maintenance process.
Document maintenance activities and tool modifications for inventory management.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
Operate Wire EDM machines and ensure quality assurance through meticulous checks.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards in the tool room.
Engage in problem-solving activities to address any tool-related issues promptly.
Train and mentor junior staff in tool room operations and safety measures.
