The Toolroom Attendant is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries. This role involves receiving, stocking, controlling, and inventorying tools, Technical Orders (T.O.’s), and support equipment. The attendant also issues these items, performs preventative and minor maintenance, ensures equipment is clean and serviceable, and manages calibration schedules for Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Additional duties include performing Equipment Custodian duties, managing the Custodian Authorization/Custody Receipt Listing (CA/CRL), acting as a building custodian, assisting with snow removal, and practicing good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness, and safety. The position may require temporary duty and travel, and the ability to work various shifts including day, swing, night, and weekend shifts. The attendant receives CUT training and is qualified to perform maintenance tasks within the classification. They also facilitate aircraft debriefs, document debrief data, enter discrepancies into the Maintenance Information System (MIS), communicate debrief information to relevant departments, and perform data corrections within MIS.
