About The Position

C&W Services is seeking a Tool Room Attendant to join their team. This role is responsible for the inventory control, scheduling, and record-keeping of all aspects of the tool room. The attendant will ensure the smooth operation of the tool room by managing tools and parts, communicating effectively with supervisors and customers, and maintaining accurate administrative duties. The position requires a safety-conscious individual who can adhere to company safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

Ability to observe details at close range.
Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
Ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
Experience in inventory control desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

Work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
Perform "Safety First" expectations including PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
Manage scheduling, record keeping, and inventory control of all aspects of the tool room.
Maintain working knowledge of tool and parts usage.
Effectively communicate with supervisor and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.
Maintain adherence to published work schedule and be available to work overtime as required.
Keep track of information to keep business and supply chains on schedule.
Perform computer work in Excel, Word, and other software as needed.
Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
