About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for the inventory, receipt, processing, coordination, and movement of stock and materials and tooling within the Warehouse, Receiving, and Operations areas, and other areas as required.

  • Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and back in the performance of work.
  • Climbing stairs and/or vertical ladders of varying heights.
  • Working in confined work areas and/or elevated heights.
  • Lifting objects of a minimum of 10 lbs, with a maximum single-person lift limit of 50 lbs, with frequent lifting and carrying.
  • Adapting to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, and prolonged exposure to dusty, wet, or humid conditions, loud noises, and vibration.
  • Visually inspecting equipment and verifying information, often in small print.
  • Driving and/or operating heavy machinery safely and being alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
  • Applying sideways/upward/downward pressure to tighten and loosen hardware.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in warehousing and inventory control.
  • Valid Driver's License with the ability to maintain a good driving record.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Demonstration of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals); ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent preferred.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accept, verify, and record incoming materials, tools, services, and supplies from outside vendors.
  • Stage, identify (tag), stock material, and cycle count. Including the accurate count and electronic receipt of all commodity and inventory items, services performed, and internal receipt requests from procurement or buyers.
  • Check and inspect goods received and ensure they are of accurate quantity, type, and acceptable quality.
  • Transfer all inventoried tooling items from inspection locations to stock locations, supporting service departments' tooling needs while maintaining tool Inventory.
  • Pick and prepare consumable orders for specific jobs/departments daily.
  • Complete the process of stock and materials, picking and filling transfers from stock.
  • Issue, repair, service, calibrate and/or lubricate tools and equipment as required; procure tools for service department personnel.
  • Issue small tools and control returns of small tools while communicating with others to ensure all are returned.
  • Inspect and measure tools/equipment for defects, wear and tear, and report damage or wear to supervisors.
  • Accurately sort, label, move, and store items; place material or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, style, or product codes; arrange storage to optimize tool room space.
  • Maintain knowledge of small tools/hand tools to ensure all stock is in its correct placement.
  • Issue products, goods, tools, and/or equipment to site employees; document and maintain accurate records for issued and returned items.
  • Enters data into a database / computerized inventory system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieves stored information to respond to inquiries (e.g., inventory levels or delivery schedules.); documents discrepancies on an error log and seeks management advice on appropriate corrective action.
  • Process requisitions for stock orders; Issue requisitions to replenish inventory.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts/quarterly inventory/annual inventory & inventory management.
  • Take appropriate action to correct identified inaccuracies, including receipt corrections.
  • Investigate and locate lost or misplaced equipment or safety supplies.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport material to designated locations safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain close communication with the Supervisor on the status of daily activities and issues which may arise.
  • Assist with planning and preparing daily schedules to facilitate efficient completion of duties.
  • Adhere to and ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards, regulations, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
