Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling Engineer

About The Position

The Tool & Process Engineer is responsible for the tooling process development for new vehicle programs, including design and implementation. This role involves close collaboration with various departments such as Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, GA, and manufacturing plants. The position also works closely with manufacturing plant skilled trades and production team members to enhance performance and quality processes within the General Assembly department. The GA Tooling Engineer will support General Assembly Process Engineering in Stellantis Production Way (SPW) and World Class Technology (WCT) initiatives, focusing on areas like workplace organization, logistics, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in a related technical discipline and 3 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in General Assembly system integration and support
  • Strong knowledge of TeamCenter, AMPs, and MEDDS
  • Ability to manage tooling implementation
  • Budgeting experience
  • Creative and innovative tooling design skills
