About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the Auburn Tooling Services (ATS) team located in Puyallup and/or Auburn, Washington on 2nd Shift. This position manages employees performing activities in multiple Tooling manufacturing disciplines. The role involves developing and executing business plans, policies, and procedures, as well as developing organizational and technical strategies. The manager will acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements. A key responsibility is to drive the implementation of OneBPS to support on-time deliveries within the department. Additionally, the role requires developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. The manager will also develop, manage, and motivate employees.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace tooling
  • 3+ years of experience in working to lead and develop teams to execute to safety, quality, and cost
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with cross functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
  • 3+ years of experience with Project Management
