About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the Auburn Tooling Services (ATS) team located in Puyallup and/or Auburn, Washington on 2nd Shift. This role involves managing employees in multiple Tooling manufacturing disciplines, developing and executing business plans, policies, and procedures, and establishing organizational and technical strategies. The position requires acquiring resources, providing technical management of suppliers, and leading process improvements. A key responsibility is driving the implementation of OneBPS to support on-time deliveries within the department. The manager will also develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. The role includes managing, developing, and motivating employees.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace tooling
  • 3+ years of experience in working to lead and develop teams to execute to safety, quality, and cost
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with cross functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
  • 3+ years of experience with Project Management
