About The Position

The Tool & Material Handler will support Havtech’s Service Department by assisting with the pick-up and delivery of tools and materials that will be utilized by Havtech Service. This position will also be responsible for maintaining and organizing relevant equipment storage. The main goal of this position is to prepare the employee for an HVAC apprenticeship with the local 10 union.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must be able to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must be punctual, reliable and able to function and work in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated attitude, with strong work ethic. Proactive in seeking additional work as appropriate.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills required.
  • Ability to think independently and exercise good judgement when making decisions.
  • Ability to travel independently.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in HVAC and the long term possibility of transitioning to a Havtech Service related career track (Ex. Apprentice, Service Technician) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of parts and materials to Service Technicians in the field as job site requires.
  • Load and unload parts and materials.
  • Follow Up with Service Coordinators and Area Service Managers to schedule and coordinate parts and materials deliveries and deliver with maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to Subcontractors.
  • Maintain, clean and organize Service and Solutions warehouse cage and storage areas.
  • Check-in material deliveries for Havtech Solutions Department.
  • Repair, or coordinate the repair of, Havtech tools, equipment and materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking of Havtech Service equipment and parts.
  • Maintain rigging equipment.
  • Assist in Fleet Management coordination.
  • Operation of company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Assist Service Technicians within capability as appropriate.
  • Proactively assist in other projects and responsibilities as need arises.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.
