About The Position

This is an entry-level Material Processor team member position. The role requires the ability to follow work instructions from supervisors and team members, and to understand drawings. The position involves operating certified crane and forklift equipment for part maneuvering within the shop, and requires the ability to read and understand drawings. A working knowledge of material movements within Epicor is necessary, as is the ability to create Bill of Ladings and ship items using UPS, FedEx, and LTL trucking websites. The role also includes receiving materials within Epicor.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
0-3 years of related work experience or higher education.
Ability to lift 35 lbs from floor to bench.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Technical training preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and use machine shop measuring tools.
Previous machining experience.

Responsibilities

Follow work instructions from supervisor and fellow team members.
Understand drawings and work instructions.
Operate certified crane and forklift to maneuver parts within the shop.
Read and understand drawings.
Manage material movements within Epicor.
Create Bill of Ladings and ship within UPS, Fed EX and LTL trucking websites.
Receive materials within Epicor.
Ensure safe use of all equipment and work areas, prioritizing personal and team safety.
Clean equipment and work areas, organize tools, and maintain a clean workspace (last 15 minutes of each day).
Perform maintenance, lubrication, and care of machines, equipment, tools, and fixtures.
Advise supervisor when expendable tooling needs replacement.
Assist in training new employees.
Support continuous improvement efforts through involvement in structured problem-solving and LEAN concepts.
Perform other related duties as required.
