About The Position
MSI Mold Builders in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking to hire a full-time Tool Maker on 2nd shift to create and make tooling to match part drawings. This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage depending on experience. From designing and building various types of steel and aluminum molds for injection, structural foam, rim, blow, gas assist, structural web processes as well as aluminum limited-production injection molds. Requirements
- 1+ years of industry experience
- Journeyman toolmaker education
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to perform the physical demands of this position

Responsibilities
- Operate equipment, including a surface grinder, manual mill, drill press, and spotting press.
- Use various kinds of hand, electronic, and pneumatic tooling.
- Read blueprints and use ingenuity to find ways to accurately and efficiently finish mold-making projects.
- Coordinate with assembly team members.
- Attend company meetings.
