About The Position

MSI Mold Builders in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking to hire a full-time Tool Maker on 2nd shift to create and make tooling to match part drawings. This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage depending on experience. Requirements

1+ years of industry experience
Journeyman toolmaker education
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to perform the physical demands of this position
Detail-oriented
Organized
Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally
Excellent problem solver
Ability to keep composure in stressful situations

Responsibilities

Operate equipment, including a surface grinder, manual mill, drill press, and spotting press.
Use knowledge of mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Use various kinds of hand, electronic, and pneumatic tooling.
Read blueprints.
Find ways to accurately and efficiently finish mold-making projects.
Coordinate with assembly team members.
Attend company meetings.
