Summary Tool Maker Trainee will be enrolled in a training program to equip individuals with the skills to plan, develop, coordinate, fabricate, assemble, repair, alter and builds parts, assemblies, tools, fixtures, gages, molds, and dies used in support of any type orders for any type of customers (production, development, laboratories, special, experimental, engineering projects, etc.). The trainee program will consist of 9 months of classroom training and 9 months of on-the-job machining training. At the conclusion of the classroom training, all trainees are eligible to receive a certificate for completing a Tool and Die program. After on-the-job training is complete, trainees must successfully pass a Tool Maker assessment and will be converted to a Tool Maker position.
