About The Position

The Toolmaker creates tools ranging from simple to complex, including progressive and single-stage tools, molds, and drill fixtures. The role interfaces with multiple departments and plants and requires professionalism when interacting with Tiffany & Co. NPI, Manufacturing, and LVMH groups. The Toolmaker works with the Tooling Manager and Supervisor, supports production and new product development, and helps maintain Tiffany’s quality, safety, and delivery standards.

Requirements

• Technical proficiency in tooling and Toolroom processes.
• Ability to read and understand technical prints.
• Proficiency operating manual Toolroom equipment.
• CAD/CAM experience.
• Familiarity with DRO-operated equipment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated ability to read and write English at an intermediate level.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to train, motivate, and provide direction.

Nice To Haves

• Some college or a bachelor's degree.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
• Experience with Rhino, SolidWorks, or Mastercam.
• Experience in micro-milling and machining metals.
• Progressive and/or single-operation tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work procedures and site safety requirements, and promptly report incidents and safety issues to a supervisor.
• Partner with the Toolroom Manager to support daily production capabilities and raise concerns when maximum efficiencies are not being met.
• Contribute to meeting request dates according to production plans.
• Participate in Toolroom activities related to new product development and implementation into production.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other equipment.
• Design and fabricate fixtures and provide production support.
• Suggest continuous improvement opportunities to minimize labor and reduce costs.
• Fabricate samples to support new product development.
• Collaborate with Management, Toolroom staff, and internal customers to make sound technical decisions.
• Understand, communicate, and support Tiffany & Company quality standards to achieve on-time delivery and high-quality results.
• Participate in 5S activities and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Build partnerships within and across departments to improve efficiency and support a collaborative work environment.
• Train, motivate, and provide direction.
