We are seeking a Tool Installation Program Manager to work full-time on site with our client located near Santa Clara, California.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, facilities, equipment installation, or industrial project/program management.
  • Experience managing semiconductor tool installation or factory expansion programs.
  • Strong understanding of cleanroom construction and semiconductor labs or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams and contractors.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and management tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within advanced semiconductor fabs, labs, or high-tech manufacturing facilities.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process tools and associated facility systems.
  • Familiarity with CSA/specification review, utility matrix management, hook-up coordination, factory ramp planning, control area, and hazardous material considerations.
  • Experience supporting fast-track industrial or manufacturing expansion projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead semiconductor equipment installation programs end-to-end, from concept through turnover to manufacturing or development.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tool installation projects across cleanroom and subfab areas.
  • Develop integrated schedules aligning facilities, vendors, contractors, and operations.
  • Drive execution of tool moves, new installs, upgrades, and factory expansion activities.
  • Coordinate shutdowns, utility tie-ins, and production-impact work, aligning with ramp and technology milestones.
  • Serve as the primary interface across manufacturing, facilities, engineering, construction, EHS, vendors, and contractors.
  • Lead coordination meetings, resolve scheduling conflicts, scope gaps, and installation constraints, and manage cleanroom logistics and staging.
  • Ensure facility readiness across utilities (electrical, HVAC, gas/chemical, DI water, CDA, vacuum, etc.) and verify tool hookup and sequencing requirements.
  • Support design reviews and ensure compliance with fab standards, cleanroom protocols, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain detailed schedules, track milestones and critical path, manage risks and recovery plans, and oversee budgets, forecasts, and contractor costs.
  • Provide executive reporting on schedule, budget, ramp readiness, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors through delivery, installation, startup, and turnover; ensure alignment with fab readiness and manage changes.
  • Drive safe execution, support startup and turnover, track punch-list completion, and ensure smooth transition to sustaining operations.
