About The Position

Intel Foundry Construction and Sourcing (FCS) is seeking a Tool Equipment Install Technician to join their Project Execution Team. This role supports the construction and commissioning of advanced wafer fabrication facilities. It is a hands-on, technically demanding position that requires working at the intersection of engineering, construction, and semiconductor manufacturing. This is a fixed-term contract position lasting approximately 12 months, with potential for extension.

High School Diploma or GED (or higher, non-semiconductor degree) with one of the following: 2.5+ years of related equipment maintenance experience or 3+ years of technical experience; 4+ years of related hands-on experience or military technical experience; 4+ years of Field Service Engineer (FSE)-level semiconductor equipment maintenance experience; or 6+ years of related hands-on experience, including military technical experience.
Associate degree in a STEM field related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or STEM (Operator track) with 2+ years of related equipment maintenance experience, or 6+ years of equipment maintenance experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or STEM (Operator track) with no prior experience required, or with 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure structures and systems are built to specification.
Perform accurate measurements and calculations.
Safely and efficiently operate a wide range of tools, machinery, and equipment.
Identify and select appropriate materials based on their properties.
Identify and resolve unexpected on-site challenges quickly and effectively.
Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, including planning, execution, and progress monitoring.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project requirements.
Apply lean methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure safe operations.
