About The Position

The Tool Inspector performs a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection, and distribution of products or services for customers. This role involves adhering to safety policies, quality standards (including ISO), and company work rules. The inspector is responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, demonstrating good work ethics, and following procedural instructions for each job. Key responsibilities include performing quality assurance checks, ensuring work meets specifications, and meeting production standards.

Requirements

  • Possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
  • Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
  • Ability to maintain clean work areas and follow good housekeeping practices.
  • Ability to follow work rules, work independently, be flexible and be willing to perform a variety of jobs.
  • Ability to use machinery/equipment required to accomplish a given job assignment.
  • Ability to work effectively, courteously and respectively with co-workers and other personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Comply with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
  • Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings, providing a positive work environment with co-workers.
  • Refer to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.
  • Perform any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.
  • Assure that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.
  • Inspect tool for press.
  • Identify and prepare tooling for change overs.
  • Record date for reference.
  • Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful completion of the mission of Norris Cylinder.
