About The Position

Tool Engineering Manager (Fabrication Division) Company: The Boeing Company At the center of the efforts for BCA’s focus on stabilizing and improving the production system, our Production Engineering organization is growing! We are looking to fill a K-level management position at the Auburn/Fredrickson sites with a qualified candidate that is passionate about leading Boeing into the future. Qualified candidates will be considered for leadership roles on teams that design and maintain tooling assets. Adaptability and the ability to learn quickly are essential. A solid understanding of Tool Engineering processes and tools is needed. We are looking for leaders who naturally live the Boeing Values & Behaviors, have a high sense of curiosity, use creativity when approaching challenges, and have an insatiable desire for improvement. Technical leadership and aptitude are essential for success in this role along with the people leadership skills to develop and inspire your team to reach a shared goal and vision. Strong candidates will have demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers, as well as strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to take initiative, and an ability to work across multiple functions to lead the development and implementation of production system assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of experience in an Engineering role
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership".

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with Equipment and Tool Engineering
  • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams responsible for the development, sustainment, and continuous improvement of the production system.
  • Develop and maintain working together relationships with MBU partners, internal stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
  • Leverage network to seek broad input on key projects and initiatives.
  • Clearly communicate status of projects both internally and externally.
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees to achieve their best as individuals and as a team.

  • Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
  • Summary pay range: $151,300 – $204,700
  • Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
