Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
  • 10+ years in tool engineering and related disciplines
  • Proficiency interpreting technical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • 5+ years’ experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • 5+ years’ experience with Pro-E/Creo/Windchill or equivalent CAD systems
  • Advanced knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T
  • Strong communication, team building, and collaboration skills
  • Eligible for DoD Secret clearance
  • Willingness to travel within the US

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with Lockheed Martin tooling, manufacturing, and drawing release processes
  • Proficiency in SAP, LM Property Management, LM MCAD, and Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing
  • Expertise in machining, welding, castings, and design for manufacturing
  • Demonstrated process improvement in cost, schedule, quality, and safety
  • International travel experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical activities for tooling in support of THAAD program development and production
  • Design, procure, and oversee internal manufacturing builds for advanced tooling solutions
  • Manage tooling proposals, maintenance, and supplier relations
  • Conduct on-site and supplier visits to ensure tooling quality and production efficiency
  • Define and implement strategies for a new, dynamic tooling group
  • Collaborate regularly with Manufacturing, Design, Systems, and Quality Engineering, as well as Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Contracts
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and documentation
  • Travel domestically to support program requirements
