About The Position

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Our goal is to be regarded as an irreplaceable resource by our customers. The only way for a company to meet such a goal is to consistently meet production deadlines and expectations. The Tool and Die Maker specializes in the construction, repair, maintenance, and calibration of machine shop dies, jigs, fixtures, and gages. Operates various machine tools and performs other highly skilled work, such as laying out, fitting, and assembling parts. May involve considerable development work, highly skilled fitting, and adjusting. Occasionally construct tools where no design is available on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be proficient at operating all toolroom machines, i.e., mills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc.
Good technical math skills (shop math, geometry, and trigonometry).
Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
Must be a “US Person” as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.

Nice To Haves

Must be available to train on 1st shift.
Familiarity with tool design and drafting standards of various customers and military.

Responsibilities

Create tool designs utilizing NX (Unigraphics) CAD system.
Operate overhead crane when necessary.
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary (micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)).
Maintains specifications; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
Maintains equipment by adhering to maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Report proper labor hours in the ERP system.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Exceptional time management and or organization skills.
Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
