About The Position
Build, repair and maintain dies, diagnose issues, correct and improve tooling and fixtures to support production. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the production line by maintaining and improving the necessary tooling.
Requirements
- minimum 5 years proven experience working as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attendance.
- Team player with solid communication skills.
- Must have own tools.
Nice To Haves
- ProtoTRAK mill experience a plus.
- Journeyman’s Tool and Die Maker’s card or certification a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and repair precision tooling, jigs and fixtures using machine shop tools and measuring instruments.
- Work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies and jigs.
- Set up and operate all tool room equipment.
- Work hands on with lathes, mills, surface grinders and all tool room equipment.
- Heat treat different metals and test hardness.
- Assist production with problem solving on tooling issues.
- Safety conscious to include proper use of P.P.E.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
