The nVent Apprenticeship Program is State certified through Apprentice Ohio and nationally recognized. The NTMA-U online learning program delivers the classroom instruction required for the program. nVent covers 100% of the tuition costs! In this position, the associate must follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures. The associate must work well with their hands and have a strong eye for detail. A journeyman tool and die maker / machinist is a highly skilled artisan. To grow in this role, the candidate must be willing to learn and be able to thrive in an environment where they receive hands-on instruction. They should have a working knowledge of engineering, science, design, and technology. An apprentice must also be highly detail-oriented and a perfectionist. The apprentice will set-up and operate all machine tools in a tool room environment including but not limited to, conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, grinders and CNC equipment. Must be able to work independently with minimum guidance.
