About The Position

Novolex is seeking a Tool & Die Machinist for their Cedar Rapids location. This role involves manufacturing parts and fixtures from raw material to finished product using various equipment, including manual lathes, manual mills, drill presses, and CNC equipment. The position also requires welding capabilities. The available shift is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, in a climate-controlled environment. The pay rate is $30.88.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of machining experience.
• 1-3 years of welding experience.
• Experience reading engineering blueprints/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, manual mills and other equipment to manufacture parts from raw materials.
• Ability to weld materials primarily stainless and carbon steel.
• Ability to design and manufacture fixtures from scratch.
• Ability to rework parts as necessary.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints.
