Requirements

  • Technical school certification or associate’s degree in machining or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a tool & die or machining environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC and manual machine operations and precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC and manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and general tool room equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and ensure they meet engineering specifications.
  • Set up, test, and run tools and dies to produce products to specification.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery, die sets, and tools independently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, written instructions, and part designs to carry out tasks.
  • Assist with sheet metal fabrication and other related manufacturing processes.
  • Comply with all safety rules and wear PPE as required.
  • Collaborate with team members while also managing individual tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proficient with CAD and CAM software and basic computer functions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate a crane.
