About The Position

The Tool Crib Attendant will order, string, issue, sharpen, and maintain all tools for the Facilities Division. The incumbent will maintain logs, tool inventory, and maintenance and repair documentation.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of assigned department operations and functions.
  • Knowledge of recordkeeping principles.
  • Knowledge of wood collecting.
  • Knowledge of grounds keeping principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of inventory maintenance principles.
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of a variety of tools used in building, ground, and street maintenance, including the proper usage, safety procedures, and suggested maintenance routines.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations as they relate to equipment and building safety.
  • Knowledge of Yaqui culture, customs, resources and traditions and/or a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to operate a variety of maintenance and repair related equipment.
  • Ability to apply maintenance and operation principles, including the ability to order, store, issue, sharpen and maintain facility tools and equipment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to operate computer based tracking and inventory software program.
  • Ability to maintain a clean work area.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer and related software applications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisor, management, Council members, and the public.
  • Sufficient ability to exchange or convey information, receive verbal and written work instructions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) general maintenance years of experience.
  • Experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License.
  • Must have a current Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card, Tribal Gaming License, and Homeland Security Background Check or be able to obtain one within ninety (90) days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of routine maintenance and repair work on tools assigned to the division, which includes power tools, hand tools, and building equipment.
  • Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
  • Respond a variety of equipment request and repair orders.
  • Record check in and out of tools and equipment, maintains logs on tools usage and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist with coordinating and tracking tools, equipment, supplies related to work orders, relay changes in equipment request, and provide related support.
  • Maintain and track appropriate inventory levels writing assigned area of responsibilities; assist with tracking requisitions and usage of supplies.
  • Perform semi-skilled work on general building construction and maintenance such as carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, demolition, and routine electrical work.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by supervisor or director.
