About The Position

The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining an inventory of all items using Maximo, ensuring adequate supply, and managing stock levels. This role involves systematically receiving and organizing consumables, tracking items distributed to employees, and monitoring Min/Max inventory levels. The attendant will also communicate urgent needs to Purchasing, maintain a clean and organized stock room, and assist users with the crib software. Additionally, the position requires notifying supervisors of any equipment or safety issues, participating in inventory counts, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must possess good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Basic working knowledge of computer software and MS office
• Experience with operating fork lift
• Ability to operate with speed and accuracy
• Demonstrates team spirit, shows flexibility and positive attitude as an active team contributor
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Demonstrates problem solving skills, is able to recognize and appropriately escalate issues when situations arise
• Ability to successfully complete pre-hire basic skills tests and assessments
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background check, physical exam and drug screening
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree from an accredited community, technical or vocational college preferred
• Previous experience with CMMS system, preferably Maximo
• Previous experience in inventory management or inventory control preferred
• Lean / process improvement tools experience and/or interest in advancing knowledge in this area

Responsibilities

• Maintains an inventory of all items using Maximo, to ensure adequate supply
• Checks stock, enters replenishment requests as needed
• Ensures all consumables and/or products are systematically received and placed in allocated area in the Stock Room in a timely fashion
• Assures all items checked out of inventory are assigned to a work order
• Tracks items distributed to employees and maintain records
• Monitors Min / Max levels of inventory and adjust as required
• Communicates hot items and expedites to Purchasing as required
• Keeps the Stock Room organized and clean at all times
• Assists individuals using the crib software as needed / requested
• Notifies supervisor of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practices
• Participates in cycle counts and inventory counts as required
• All other duties assigned
