Tool Crib Attendant - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for dispatching correct tooling and materials to all departments as requested and placing orders as inventory is depleted. This role involves receiving, unpacking, and storing incoming tools and equipment, managing tool crib physical inventory accuracy, and maintaining database integrity. The attendant will work closely with other departments to determine tooling and material requirements, order tooling as necessary, monitor and update inventory, and designate locations for new tooling. Additionally, the attendant is responsible for the proper care and reporting of tool repair needs, handling routine problems in the tool crib, and performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Detail oriented
- Excellent attendance
- Customer service skills
- Proficient computer skill, including database experience, Word, and Excel.
- Able to read simple drawings
- Able to use scale, calipers and simple measuring instruments.
Nice To Haves
- PC Toolcrib and Syteline are a plus.
- Tooling experience; identification of tool types.
Responsibilities
- Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of issues and returns using a computer database.
- Accurately and efficiently utilizes PC Toolcrib and Syteline.
- Maintains inventory and storage areas by cleaning and organizing as required.
- Performs weekly cycle counts.
- Prepares tool kits for machining as needed.
- Works closely with other departments to determine tooling and material requirements.
- Orders tooling as necessary, monitors and updates inventory.
- Designates locations for new tooling.
- Exercises proper care in handling of tools and reports obvious needs for repair or replacement to superior.
- Handles routine problems in the tool crib, such as searching for missing tools, gauges, prints, etc.
- Runs reports as needed.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Benefits
- $18.00 - $21.00 per hour based on experience + 15% shift differential
