Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent experience required
  • General tool knowledge is mandatory
  • Excellent organizational and housekeeping skills
  • Strong proficiency in the English language - both written and oral communication
  • Must have a winning attitude that makes the team better
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven skills in accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing to a positive team environment
  • General knowledge of computers including inventory management programs, Microsoft Word programs (especially Excel), email, typing skills
  • Proven telephone etiquette
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work at other locations for coverage purposes as needed
  • Ability to work shift work, including nights and weekends, and 12-hour shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Shipping/receiving department, and/or working with tools and industrial supplies preferred
  • Experience in customer service and sales preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the counter customer service, delivering fast, courteous, helpful, and accurate service to all internal and external customer
  • Restock shelves and count current inventory
  • Manage incoming goods, label product, keep shelves neat and organized
  • Deliver goods and put away in VMI areas of facility (may include vending equipment)
  • Use and maintain the information systems as they are designed to be used for tracking inventory
  • Cycle count area as per cycle count schedule
  • Clean crib work area including garbage cans, floors, computers, and crib equipment
  • Responsible for keeping the crib area secure at all times by ensuring only WFS team members enter the area. Gates must be locked as deemed appropriate
  • Follow all safety protocol in compliance with WFS' health and safety policies and procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as well as the health and safety policies of the customer’s facility
  • Support the WFS Quality System
  • All other duties as assigned
