About The Position

The Tool Crib Attendant receives, stores, and issues tools, equipment, and supplies to employees; maintains inventory levels; and helps ensure the efficient operation of the tool crib. The role includes inspecting and tracking incoming items, distributing tools, keeping the crib organized and stocked, monitoring supplies, and performing routine tool maintenance. The attendant keeps accurate transaction records, reports damaged or missing items to management, and follows safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a tool crib or similar environment is preferred. A forklift certification may be required. The employee must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Duties may change, and reasonable accommodations may be made when requested, absent undue hardship.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming tools, equipment, and supplies.
Distribute tools and equipment to employees, ensuring items are properly signed out and returned.
Keep the tool crib clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, sharpening, and lubrication.
Maintain accurate records of tool crib transactions, including issuing and receiving tools and supplies.
Report damaged or missing tools or equipment to management.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
