About The Position

The Tool and Laser Maintenance Technician works at customer facilities and operates laser tracker equipment while completing day-to-day tooling and equipment maintenance to meet quality standards and customer needs. The role includes planned and emergent maintenance and repair, inspection and verification of parts and assemblies, and use of optical and computer-aided measuring equipment. The technician may fabricate and prove optical and mechanical accessories, measure and mark reference points, and disassemble jigs, fixtures, tool masters, and master tooling gauges. Assignments range from ordinary operations to work requiring accurate relationships and extremely close tolerances. The position is performed at customer work sites, with possible travel to other customer locations. Work takes place in indoor production and office environments, which are temperature controlled unless products or equipment are outdoors. Overtime may be necessary to meet deadlines, travel requirements, or emergent conditions. Employees working in or entering production areas must wear personal protective equipment and follow AIT safety, quality, procedural, and environmental requirements. The position may require a government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for consideration.
