About The Position

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Tool and Die Maker - 1st Shift at our Saegertown, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. In this role, you will build, modify, and repair complex tools, dies, jigs, molds, and fixtures using precision machining and bench operations. You will work independently on intricate tooling while supporting quality, production, and process improvements.

Requirements

High school education.
Minimum of 2 years of experience.
Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow and interpret written and verbal work directions.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.

Responsibilities

Build, modify, and repair complex tools, dies, jigs, molds, and fixtures using advanced precision machining and bench operations.
Cut, shape, and trim materials to specified tolerances and design requirements.
Design and fabricate jigs, fixtures, templates, and custom components to support tool and die production.
Grind, adjust, and assemble parts using advanced techniques to achieve precise alignment, fit, and smooth operation.
Select and assess metals and other materials based on their properties and suitability for specific tool and die applications.
Perform detailed testing and inspections on completed tools and dies to verify specifications and quality standards.
Work independently on intricate tooling assignments and contribute to production and process improvements.
Follow company safety policies and best practices while proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
