The Tool & Die Maker Apprentice participates in a structured four-year registered apprenticeship program designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to become a skilled Tool & Die Maker. Under the supervision of qualified Tool & Die Makers and manufacturing professionals, the apprentice will learn to build, repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve molds, dies, tools, fixtures, and precision components used in manufacturing operations. The apprentice will receive progressive on-the-job training and related classroom instruction in machining, blueprint reading, measuring systems, metallurgy, CNC machining, tool building, die assembly, safety practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
