The Tomahawk Production Program Manager will be responsible for managing all efforts associated with accelerating and executing the New Production contract. This position will be report directly to the Production Director. The Production PM will be part of the leadership team responsible for leading the team that achieves the highest combined production and recertification rates in the history of the program. The quickly expanding customer base, both DoD and FMS, and the timing of the fielded Blk IV weapon’s 15-year recert cycle, is driving a factory capacity ramp that will nearly triple the current throughput expectation of the Tomahawk factories. The leaders of Tomahawk production new builds will lead as part of a program strategy that divides the production and recertification efforts between three Associate Directors who will partner effectively to achieve individual contract success, and Tomahawk program success, while managing shared resources and leveraging procurement synergies. This position requires proficiency in leading dynamic production problem solving, cross functional teams, managing a high visibility effort, driving communication of project goals/objectives/decisions and results to team, customers, and leadership. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a key leader on an effort that answers an unprecedented resurgence in demand for one of the most recognizable franchise programs at Raytheon and one of the most successfully combat proven weapon systems ever. An optimal candidate will have experience in production and supply base acceleration, earned value implementation, building customer relationships, and experience in effectively managing and adapting program cadence for successful execution. This is an onsite position at our Tucson, AZ facility

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Prior experience with profit and loss of DoD contracts as a program manager
  • Prior recent functional leadership experience ( ex: Operations, Supply Chain etc .)
  • Prior experience in managing, tracking, and reporting metrics and progress through EAC reviews and periodic management reviews with internal and customer leadership
  • Prior leadership experience that includes the execution of production (or similar effort)
  • This position is onsite in Tucson, Arizona at the Rita Rd facility
  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Security Clearance Type: Secret - Current Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and driving AOP objectives and action plans
  • Maintaining a clear program execution methodology that provides clarity and visibility into execution status
  • Maintaining a positive team dynamic and the development of team leaders within the production leadership team
  • Partnering with other Production/Recert program managers to leverage shared factory resources
  • Implementing effective execution recovery plans for warranty management
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with customer counterparts
  • Support proposal activities for follow-on work
  • Implementing and managing to External EV requirements
