About The Position

Stratacent is looking for a skilled Tokenization Engineer with strong experience in Python, RESTful API, Kubernetes and AWS cloud environment. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining microservices, building and maintaining RESTful APIs, and deploying and operating services on AWS EKS. The engineer will implement Kubernetes best practices, integrate microservices with various databases and data platforms, and collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams on CI/CD pipelines and automation. A key aspect of this role is implementing observability standards and applying security best practices. The engineer will also support data privacy and governance requirements by working with privacy/security teams and leveraging tools like Informatica CDGC and OneTrust. Participation in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical design discussions, along with mentoring junior engineers, is also expected.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience (Mid/Senior level).
  • Strong hands-on development in Python and/or Java (backend services).
  • Proven experience building microservices and REST APIs in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS EKS / Kubernetes (deploying, operating, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with data stores/platforms such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Snowflake, and familiarity with AWS DSQL.
  • Solid understanding of AWS fundamentals (networking basics, IAM/security, logging/monitoring).
  • Experience or strong exposure to data privacy/governance concepts and tools like Informatica CDGC and OneTrust.
  • Strong engineering practices: unit/integration testing, Git workflows, CI/CD, documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with service mesh (Istio) or API gateways/ingress controllers (ALB Ingress, NGINX).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code exposure (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm).
  • Experience with performance tuning and resiliency patterns.
  • Familiarity with security scanning and compliance automation in CI/CD.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Python and/or Java following cloud-native patterns.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs backed by microservices; define API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger) and versioning strategies.
  • Deploy and operate services on AWS EKS, including containerization, configuration management, and runtime troubleshooting.
  • Implement Kubernetes best practices: health checks, resource requests/limits, autoscaling, rolling deployments, and service discovery.
  • Integrate microservices with databases and data platforms including AWS DSQL, Amazon, DynamoDB, Snowflake, MongoDB.
  • Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams on CI/CD pipelines and automation (build, test, container image management, deployment).
  • Implement observability standards: structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, alerting, and dashboards.
  • Apply security best practices (IAM, least privilege, secrets management, encryption in transit/at rest).
  • Support data privacy and governance requirements by working with privacy/security teams and leveraging: Informatica CDGC for cataloging/governance workflows, OneTrust for privacy controls, assessments, and compliance processes.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical design discussions; mentor junior engineers as needed.
