About The Position

The Learning Experience in Ramsey, New Jersey, is seeking an enthusiastic Toddler Teacher for its Twaddler classroom, serving children approximately 2 to 2.5 years old. The teacher helps children develop independence, build friendships, strengthen communication skills, and discover learning through play. The role supports daily classroom routines, implements the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, and provides developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a safe, welcoming environment. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and pays $18 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong communication skills and a positive, patient approach.
Dependable and energetic, and comfortable working with young children.
Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education experience preferred.
Experience with toddlers or 2-year-olds strongly preferred.
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Support daily classroom activities and routines for children ages 2 to 2.5.
Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
Create engaging sensory, art, music, movement, and hands-on learning experiences.
Encourage language development, independence, and positive social interactions.
Support toileting, diapering, meals, rest time, and classroom transitions.
Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management.
Observe and document children's developmental progress.
Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and center leadership.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.
