About The Position
Toddler Assistant Teacher – Ages 18 Months to 2.5 Years Are you passionate about working with toddlers in a nurturing, Montessori environment? Join our team at Peak Ave Montessori in Morgan Hill! Our beautiful school is designed to support each child’s natural curiosity, growing independence, and emotional and social development. At Peak Ave Montessori, we believe in creating a loving and consistent environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them. Our fully implemented Montessori programs foster independence, creativity, language development, and strong social connections, helping children develop confidence and a deep love for learning. Our Toddler Community is an active, engaging environment where children are encouraged to move, explore, communicate, develop practical life skills, and become increasingly independent with the guidance and support of a caring teaching team. Our Montessori Pre Primary (Toddler) Community serves 12 children ages 18 months to 2.5 years old with a teaching team of 2 teachers: 1 Lead Teacher and 1 Assistant Teacher.
Requirements
- Experience or a strong desire to work with toddlers.
- Eagerness to learn and grow as an educator.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, supportive team.
- Interest in exploring Montessori education and philosophy.

Responsibilities
- Assist in creating a nurturing, Montessori environment for toddlers aged 18 months to 2.5 years.
- Support children's natural curiosity, growing independence, and emotional and social development.
- Foster independence, creativity, language development, and social connections.
- Guide and support children in developing practical life skills and becoming increasingly independent.
- Engage children in hands-on learning experiences such as gardening, cooking, art, practical life, and STEM activities.
- Build strong connections with children and families.
- Collaborate with a caring teaching team, including a Lead Teacher.
