About The Position

Peak Ave Montessori in Morgan Hill is seeking a passionate Toddler Assistant Teacher for their Toddler Community, which serves 12 children aged 18 months to 2.5 years. The school offers a nurturing, Montessori environment focused on supporting children's natural curiosity, independence, and social-emotional development. The Toddler Community is an active and engaging space where children explore, communicate, develop practical life skills, and gain independence with the guidance of a caring teaching team. The role involves working alongside a Lead Teacher to support the children's growth and learning.

Responsibilities

Support the Lead Teacher in implementing a Montessori-based curriculum for toddlers aged 18 months to 2.5 years.
Engage children in hands-on learning experiences, including gardening, cooking, art, practical life, and STEM activities.
Foster children's independence, creativity, language development, and social connections.
Create a safe, loving, and consistent environment where children feel supported and encouraged to explore.
Assist in guiding children's movement, exploration, and communication.
Build strong connections with children and families.
Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
